Dogs&Tails and Usine

FRENCH BLOG APARTCA-BLOG.COM COMPARED DOG&TAILS WITH A STOCKHOLM RESTAURANT USINE.

THESE TWO PLACES ARE UNITED BY THEIR HISTORIES. USINE IS LOCATED IN PLACE OF THE FORMER SAUSAGE PLANT, WHICH THEN TURNED INTO A TAX OFFICE, AFTER WHICH IT HAS FINALLY BECOME A RESTAURANT. SIMILARLY, DOGS&TAILS EVOLVED FROM A PANORAMIC MOVIE THEATER, WHICH EARLIER WAS AN OLD SYNAGOGUE. FROM THEIR EARLIER FUNCTIONS, THE TWO PLACES HAVE KEPT THE INDUSTRIAL SPIRIT WHICH HAD INFLUENCED THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RAW CONCRETE FOR WALLS AND FLOORS.

On the other hand, they are very different. One of them is dazzling white without any striking impurities, while the other is painted in dark tones with dominant accents.

“Usine”:

  • Large windows, that bring lots of sunlight.
  • Tables and chairs in the style of Luxembourg stools Tolix and a large number of plants in pots.
  • Walls clad in metal panels and black lacquered grided net.

Project designer: Richard Lindvall.

Dogs&Tails :

  • Turquoise ceiling with gilded cornices
  • Wall inscription, “If these walls could talk”
  • Diverse lighting

Design: MAKHNO Studio.

Comments have pleasantly surprised me. All active users in the discussion had noted our bar “Dogs & Tails” and treated us with delicious reviews.

The author had also surprised, the article doesn’t expand into details, however, once again it convinces how great it is to get attention for the results of one effort!
