SVITLO APARTMENT is a unique space among the high-rise buildings of central Kyiv, where art and functionality, beauty and practicality, the energies of homeowners and guests, light and shadow meet.
CHALLENGE
We faced a non-trivial task: to combine three separate apartments into one. And to make SVITLO feel united and whole – a big house with separate areas for the owners, their kids, and guests.
• Having three separate apartments on the floor, we radically redesigned them and combined them into a single convenient system. At the same time, we preserved the location of the load-bearing walls, supports, and other elements, following all the rules and the most detailed design requirements. Every architect knows that this is challenging. But thanks to our ingenuity and experience, SVITLO was born just that perfectly;
• In the end, SVITLO consists of 13 rooms that form three zones:
- the owners' master with working and evening quarters
- children's space;
- a guest area with a living room, bedroom, separate bathroom, etc.
• The design and decoration of the apartments is based on the techniques of light art. Here we took into account natural light and its changes during the day and supplemented it with our own lighting design. At the same time, we have chosen surfaces that play with light flows, turning them into fascinating but unobtrusive patterns.

We think you recognize it. The guardian of this house is the beautiful and majestic DIDO. A work of art, the embodiment of modern zoomorphic ceramics, handmade using authentic techniques in our pottery workshops. They live in the most famous galleries in the world and here at SVITLO.
The study combines the public and private parts of the apartment. The severity of the furniture is balanced by art objects by MAKHNO Product.
The master bedroom embodies the principles of the SVITLO game: WIND and KVITKA are the natural harmony of light captured in ceramics.
WIND is a tile that can catch and redirect the rays like a sail or a breeze. Thanks to its special dynamic shape, the play of light and shadow brings the walls to life with exquisite patterns. Turning day or night light into artistic illumination.
KVITKA is a lamp that is adored. Copper or ceramic, it impresses with its volume and the amount of honey light emitted like pollen.
Behind the glass is the cozy bathroom of the homeowners, which has its own secrets, but they agreed not to disclose them.
