Architecture as clothes

AS CALVIN KLEIN SAID, “DESIGN IS DESIGN, ONE IS A BUILDING AND THE OTHER MIGHT BE A PAIR OF PANTS.”
Our workshop collaborated with DZHUS – the vanguard clothing brand of designer Irina Dzhus.
The аrchitecture, product design and clothes combine in the experimental project “The Lymph”.
ARCHITECTURE AND FASHION AFFECT PEOPLE MORE THAN OTHER ARTS.
The project name has a metaphorical context. We’ve been looking for common ground between architecture and the fashion industry. Sophisticated and simple shapes. Static straight lines and dynamic waves. Vivid and muted colour spots. We did not stop at the usual human views and found … the lymph.
Lymph is a kind of connective tissue. It protects a body from pathogenic agents or viruses. Architecture, product-designed items and clothing perform a similar role in the life of mankind. They create an environment to feel people comfortable.
In a house, a chair or a blouse – there are specific kinds of “tissue” that protect our bodies from the outside.
Because of the unusual synthesis of architecture, product design and fashion, a new visual aesthetic appeared – a kind of fourth dimension.
CREATHINGS TED WITH TASTE
Сonceptual things have one purpose at the core – to go beyond the established vision. The composition we built is organic and, as our client commented – “very tasty”. We agree with him.
