8SUN is a fantastic hotel for lovers, enveloped by the warm ocean outside and the extraordinary beauty of design and art inside. This is a space for happy newlyweds and unforgettable wedding ceremonies, as well as for everyone who dreams of relaxing in the most beautiful place in the world.
The project was created in collaboration with SAI ARCHITECTS.

Hotel project development on the oceanfront presented an exciting challenge for MAKHNO STUDIO. The coastal location required a distinctive style and specific architectural considerations. The 8SUN hotel complex is a true gem in the studio’s portfolio. The photos on this page perfectly capture the thoughtful architectural choices, evoking a sense of tranquility and harmony with nature.
For 8SUN, we chose the most picturesque place on the coast - cliffs in the jungle, going down almost to the ocean. The steep slope was a challenge for the architects, but they brilliantly solved it by designing a multi-level hotel.
From the lounge area by the large pool to the roof terraces, the hotel concept architecture is perfectly designed to surprise and comfort at the same time.
Many different grounds and areas of 8SUN are open to nature, sun and waves. Interestingly, you can see the ocean from every corner of the complex.
The resort hotel architecture dictates certain conditions for the choice of finishing materials. They should be natural and ecological - stone, ceramics, and wood with a few glass elements.
At the heart of the architectural concept of the 8SUN hotel are two buildings, like two loving hearts:
- the activity house: with a lobby, coworking, conference room, bar-restaurant, function room, spa and relaxation area, large terraces and a swimming pool;
- a vacation home with villas and hotel rooms.
Other areas of the complex are being built around these two buildings: terraces, relaxation niches, observation decks, swimming pools, and green spaces.
On the left we see the entrance to the complex and the parking lot, next to it - the administrative area and coworking. Between them is a relaxation terrace with amazing ceramic furniture and art objects by MAKHNO. We will consider this a business floor, no other business office in the world has such charms.
Below is a restaurant tier with a charming outdoor terrace. Behind it, a large conference hall with an area of 1000 m² is built into the rock, where you can hold both wedding events and business meetings.
On the left, we see a separate fitness room for yoga and sports. It is covered with a Balinese vine, which can be pulled apart and admire the view of the ocean.
The staircase below leads to a communal outdoor pool with a large seating area.
Another extraordinary feature of 8SUN is the rooftop wedding ceremony terrace on the administrative building, with ceramic furniture and amazing architectural charms. We promise that this area will become a special favorite for your Instagram.
Each room at the 8SUN Hotel is non-standard and atypical, all of them have different unusual shapes with rounded walls. 8SUN’s hotel architecture and design concept is that each room offers a view of the ocean and nothing else. No neighboring walls or windows, no secondary views.
The rooms on the three floors have different sizes: 70 m² on the highest, then 50 m² and 30 m². There is a promenade terrace with greenery on top of the building, and another huge swimming pool below.
Two villas are located above and slightly away from the other rooms. These are places for the most demanding vacation or staying in a large company. They are located in such a way as not to intersect with the main complex. The villas have their own swimming pools and a secluded area. So the whole world will remain just outside the fence.
The corridors and passages between all the rooms are open, not limited by walls. Here you are greeted by charming handmade DIDO ceramic art sculptures that decorate, harmonize and protect each level of the hotel. And we haven't even talked about the interiors yet.
An oceanfront hotel complex is not only a place to relax but also a strategically valuable investment.
